Cheesy Steve Wishes You a Happy Bankake Birthday!!!
Josh, I made bankakes two days early, and created this extra giant one just for you. :D
Happy Birthday, Josh!
Boston Soda Party!
3 cents of your precious soda money going to fund Obama's play-money projects?

OK, so I didn't have a Boston Harbour to use, so I had to use a pink plastic bathtub... but it could have been WAY worse, lol!
Thanks to Grieve for the store name and addy. : )
Cheesy Steve...
Checking out my new digs. : )
That's right! Finally got a comp set up right here in my studio, so I can Flickr while I work (make art). :P

And Ode to William Wrigley Jr.
Founder of William Wrigley Jr. Company, of the Avalon Theatre and Casino on Catalina island, owner of the Chicago Cubs baseball team...
And inventor of the only known substance to stick to old cheese.
(Thanks to Mark for the tip-off on the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field.)
Big World...
Little Cheese...
And a very tired Olivia. : )
Hate to let folks down with a lame theme tonight... but I am SO tired, lol! Goodnight, and here's to a slightly more imaginative tomorrow!

Jurassic Park!
Finally got around to watching Jurassic Park! I am a big fan of the late Michael Crichton's works, but have never seen the Jurassic Park films.
Frankly, I didn't like it as much as I did the book, though it was still really good!
I think they ought to have spent more time on character development with Malcolm, especially considering his prominent role The Lost World. Also, I noticed a LOT of facts swapped around, which I thought would have been better in sequence. For example, the discovery of the eggs and the conclusions drawn. The discovery of the raptor nests. The deaths of Hammond and Malcolm... shoot, they really swapped around who did die and who didn't.
But, whatever... artistic license they call it. I guess it's their right.
Watching #2 next weekend. : )

Oh, dear! : (
Cheesy Steve discovered the grated Parmesan in the drawer today, where I'd been hiding it. I tried to explain to him how it was... I even tried apologizing for being insensitive! But to no avail... he's swathed him self in a cutting of black garbage bag, and has been huddled over the lone packet all day, hasn't stirred once. : (
Cheesy Steve Stumbles Upon a Beautiful Flower...
Found this pop-up in an old In-Style magazine!
Flying a Kite
I always loved kites! :)
Never flown one myself, but I love watching them at the beach. Beautiful bright colours!
Gamer Steve
Spaced out over his GBA.
All the cool kids use Nintendo DS now... but Steve doesn't care! He likes being old-school. :)

Cheesy Steve Campaigns for Doughnuts!
And this concludes the second annual Day of the Donut!
Before anyone asks... NO. I did NOT let Steve touch any of them, lol!
Hope you all had a lovely and doughnut-filled day. Mine turned out better than I thought they would. Not the best of the best, but they were very nice once I got the glaze on them. : )
I can think of plenty of changes to make.
Hope all you folks out in San Francisco had a nice time! Not worth moving to California for... but I did envy you the free doughnuts! ; )
"Day of the Donut" Eve!
Cheesy Steve wins blue ribbon for the baking of the most atrocious doughnuts EVER! (Yeah, I'm framing CS for this, what of it?)
Day of the Donut is tomorrow people! You ready for it? :D
I'm hoping mine Cheesy Steve's will be a bit more presentable once the glazing goes on...
Miss(ter) America 2009
Perez Hilton making a dumb-bell out of himself, and the despicable two piece bathing suits the Misses pranced about in... condoning what? Indecent exposure as a high American value? Um, don't think so.
Can we say disgusted, on many different levels, and leave it at that?
I think Cheesy Steve takes the cake, here. :)
Say "No!" to Smarties!
Can't tell you how many times I've walked out of a grocery store to be assaulted by these guys... pushy folks, they are!
...
Anybody heard anything about this middle school/Jr. high fad? Weird as all get out!
Eek!!
*WHAP!*
...
Um, please excuse the Scotch tape... my resources for adhesives are rather limited, and I didn't think the family would appreciate me using chewing gum in this set (the locale being the cabinet where our dinner plates go...)
Dun du-du-dun, du-dun- dun dun dun dun...
Can't Touch This.
Stuck in my head ALL day, I have NO idea where it came from... but I JUST I thought I'd make the rest of you suffer with me. :)

It's Chess Pie, Honey...
98/365
There are many stories and explanations for the origination of "Chess Pie", but this is the one I grew up with...
An elderly woman was busying herself about the kitchen getting up dinner. Her husband, just come in from work, was pestering her while she cooked. "What are you making? What is this?" He asked. After several teasing rebuffs, she finally replied: "It's jes' pie, honey."
Cheesy Steve Campaigning for Wildflower's Rights!

I want some bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush. Since none are magically popping up in my yard, I guess I'll have to plant some. :P

For Josh... even though you're not here right now. Steve'll wait for you!
Please excuse the wig askew... it's like, Mark Williams as Sir John Middleton in Sense and Sensibility (BBC edition). Lol!

With my new camera. *Smiles Smugly*
(Very hard to smile smugly when you're simultaneously grinning ear-to-ear...)
The End of an Era?
88/365
Oh dear! I am so bummed about this. : (
I accidentally knocked my camera off a ledge this morning... it fell three feet and hit pavement, knocking the lens-housing off. With some fiddling, it still operates.... but no zoom, focusing is a pain in the neck, and all photos have that stupid black pseudo-vignetting around the edges! It is unwieldy, because I have to hold the pieces in place while shooting. Lol.
Eventually I will be able to get it repaired, but in the meantime... I'm distraught! I have been shooting with this camera for 6 years now, it has always served me well. My first camera, a hand-me-down from someone I love dearly, the camera I've learned with. And I busted it! :O
>_<
I'm getting a new one soon anyways, but still. : (
I had hoped to continue shooting with this one despite.

Cheesy Steve with a mustachio and monocle for April Fools Day.
I get my new cam tomorrow, it'll get better! I swear! LOL!
